Lewis Farm Market and Petting Farm is a family fun destination located in the heart of West Michigan near the Silver Lake Sand Dunes and Lake Michigan. Just north of Muskegon/Whitehall and south of Pentwater our farm offers exciting activities and entertainment for all ages.
Keep the whole family busy all day with our giant jumping pillows, pedal carts, petting farm/zoo, gem mining and corn maze.
Also in the area nearby is Rainbow Ranch horseback riding, Country Dairy, Oceana Winery, and Silver Lake State Park. Spend a day of fun with the family enjoying the best of West Michigan.
We're located on a 700-acre fruit farm, corn maze, and petting farm in New Era, Michigan. We are a fourth generation family farm. The farm and market is owned by Scott and Cindy Lewis.
Our first market was built back in the mid 70's by Scott's grandparents, Winston and Alice Lewis, and his parents, Gary and Brenda Lewis. At that time, US-31 ended at M-20, which caused a tremendous amount of traffic to go past our farm. This was the farms first attempt at direct sales, and that market continued to the late 70's. When US-31 was continued on to the north, it reduced business to the fruit stand drastically, and we temporarily closed the fruit stand to regroup.
The idea of another market came in 2003 when Cindy began selling sweet cherries in the front yard. It was such a success that an apple orchard was removed the spring of 2004 and we broke ground on our new market. The Lewis’ Farm Market as we know it today, opened, or perhaps we should say re-opened, in August 2004.
The truth is that Cindy, being a city girl, wasn't sure about selling fruit. What did get her excited was the petting farm that was created at the same time. Our rapidly growing Petting Farm makes Lewis' Farm Market truly a destination place—providing great, locally grown fruit, as well as wholesome family
entertainment. We pride ourselves as having one of the nicest, cleanest petting farms you will ever see.
Although growing fruit is our main focus, the farm market every year is growing into a full time business. We have approximately 10 full time employees.
During the summer, you’ll likely see our two sons, Tyler and Brandon, helping Cindy in the market. Her parents also work here during the summer. Lillian will great you with a smile, and I guarantee she’ll get you to try some of our homemade fudge. Cindy’s dad, Tim, oversee’s our new Jumping Pillows, making sure everyone is following the rules.
So please don't hesitate to call any of us by name and introduce yourself—we truly value your friendship, and or course want you to keep coming back for years to come.
So welcome to our farm market. Where families have an old fashioned good time!
