Throw-Back Thursdays

Ever wonder how Lewis’ Farm Market & Petting Farm came to be what it is today? Well we’ll tell you!

We are proud to be a fourth generation family farm operating a real working fruit farm, farm market, corn maze and petting farm! Now owned by Scott and Cindy Lewis, the farm market was built in the 1970’s by Scott’s grandparents (Winston and Alice Lewis) and his parents (Gary and Brenda Lewis). It was closed for a few years (due to road closure and traffic rerouting) but reopened in 2003 when Cindy began selling sweet cherries at a fruit stand in the front yard! That was such a success, leading to the removal of one apple orchard to make room for a new market building. Lewis’ Farm Market as we know it today reopened in August 2004.

The Petting Farm was also established at that time and our collection of animals have continued to grow! Starting with just one barn of goats, we have now grown into four barns full of unique animals and a prairie dog exhibit! Not to mention all of the other attractions the Petting Farm offers such as the Jumping Pillows, Pedal Carts, Animated Chicken Show, Barrel Train and much more!
